Spyros Paloukis was commissioned by the Aigai Hotel (Edessa - North Greece) to photograph the hotel and the surrounding region in order to produce a series of photographs inspired by its landscape and local culture. The photographic journey covered all the different facets of Edessa and of the greater area, beyond tourist stereotypes. A collectors edition travel book was produced providing real and live image of the city and of the surrounding nature, as well as of the activities and savours that are there for the visitors to enjoy. A booklet accompanied by an original fairy tale ("the magic tree") that Spyros wrote exclusively for this specific project, together with authentic narration and appealing images, that lead to amazing natural paths, crystal-clear waters, green forests and places of unique cultural and religious heritage.
