In 2014, I arrived in Mykonos for a short photography assignment that never happened. I stayed.

Over the next ten years, I returned each summer, spending around one hundred days a year on the island and gradually building a visual record of its landscapes, people, and everyday life.

Light From Light follows this long relationship with Mykonos, moving between portrait and landscape, between belonging and distance — close to the island, yet never fully fixed within it.

Paraportiani remains a quiet constant throughout the series — where different times overlap: my time on the island, the time of others passing through, and a slower sense of time that holds them beyond the moment.

The book does not try to describe Mykonos, but to stay close to a feeling — of living within it, and slowly becoming part of it.
